The app says I've reached today's limit.
Speakboth Premium includes up to 2,000 requests a day, shared by text translation, the camera and notes. Each translation of typed text and each set of notes is one request, while one photo can use several; offline translation on your iPhone doesn't count. The count starts again at midnight in your time zone, and the app shows when more are available.
How do I restore my subscription on a new iPhone?
Open the subscription screen in Speakboth and tap Restore Purchases while you are signed in to the same Apple Account. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Speakboth. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
A translation is wrong or sounds odd.
Translations are made by AI and can contain mistakes. Try another tone, shorten or rephrase your text and translate again; with the camera, hold the text closer and in good light. For important matters, have the translation checked by a qualified person.
The camera doesn't find any text.
Allow camera access for Speakboth in your iPhone's Settings, or choose a photo instead. Hold the text closer and in good light. The camera reads fewer languages than text translation; the app lists the ones your iPhone can read.
How do I translate without a connection?
On iOS 18 or later, open Offline languages on Speakboth's home screen and download your languages. Text in those languages is then translated on your iPhone when you turn on Translate on this iPhone or have no connection. To remove a downloaded language, open your iPhone's Settings and search for Translation Languages.
Where are my saved translations?
Your history and favorites are stored only on the iPhone you made them on, under Saved. They are not uploaded or backed up, so they do not move to a new iPhone and are not part of the data export. Deleting your account in the app deletes them too.
Why does Speakboth ask for my age?
Speakboth is for adults. Before your first translation the app asks once for your birth month and year. Only the month and year are stored, to check that you are 18 or older.
How do I withdraw my consent to AI processing?
In Speakboth open Settings and withdraw the AI processing consent. From then on nothing is sent to the AI provider, and online translation, the camera and notes are unavailable until you agree again.
How do I get a copy of my data?
In Speakboth open Settings and request a data export. The archive is prepared on our servers and can be downloaded for 7 days. Translations saved on your iPhone are not part of it, because they never reach our servers.
How do I delete my account?
In Speakboth open Settings and tap Delete account. Your account is deleted at once and cannot be restored, and the translations saved on that iPhone are deleted too. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your iPhone's Settings.
